The Australian delegation together with Malaysian representatives visited RuangKreasi on Saturday, 29 June 2024. This visit aims to see and understand the activities and classes that have been conducted at RuangKreasi as well as being the first step in collaboration discussions between the two parties.

Before the tour started, the RuangKreasi community had arrived early to start the Craft Production Day. The community has started sewing cup holders, and pen lanyards using used fabric. The presence of the Australian delegation livened up the atmosphere of Craft Production Day because they could see RuangKreasi’s activities live. Kreasi takes this opportunity by promoting products that have been sewn by the RuangKreasi community such as plushie soft toys, handicraft bags, crochet bags, crochet amigurumi, and many more. The Australian delegation also had the chance to see and be impressed by the innovative product D’Athirah Magic Ruler that can simplify and save time drawing sewing patterns.

Then, the tour continued with a traditional Malaysian breakfast of nasi lemak and curry puff while explaining the advantages and impact of RuangKreasi’s activities. After finishing breakfast, the Australian delegation and Malaysian representatives greeted the RuangKreasi community to learn more about the activities at RuangKreasi and this strengthened the interaction between the two parties. Some delegates were interested in the community products there such as whale plushie soft toys and drawstring bag handicrafts and continued to make purchases.

The visit ended with none other than the ceremony of taking pictures to capture and keep this beautiful memory and the gifting of souvenirs. Hopefully the meeting between the Australian Delegation and RuangKreasi will not end here.
