International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8 every year, is a day celebrated to honor the achievements of women around the world and recognize their struggle to achieve equality. In 2024, International Women’s Day chose “WOMEN RECOGNIZED IN A GLORIOUS COUNTRY” as the theme to recognize the role of women in national development. This celebration encourages society to appreciate the important role of women in every aspect of life, be it in the family, career, or community.

This year’s theme emphasizes the invaluable contributions that women make to nation-building and societal progress. It highlights the diverse roles that women play, from being nurturing caregivers to pioneering leaders in various fields. The celebration serves as a powerful reminder to support and uplift women, advocating for their rights and ensuring equal opportunities for all. Through recognizing and celebrating women’s achievements, we move closer to achieving true gender equality and a more inclusive world.

International Women’s Day Malaysia 2024

The celebration of International Women’s Day 2024 was completed and officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia and also with YB Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy Binti Shukri, Minister of Women, Family and Community Development. The celebration in 2024 has been held at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre. There are many activities that have been carried out there such as CEDAW Information, Advocacy Against Social Harassment, Self-Defense Demos, Civil Aspirations Women’s Forum, Talks on Tolerance of Violence Against Women, Exhibitions and Information Sessions with Women’s NGOs, Knowledge Sharing from Successful Women Entrepreneurs, Financial Advice Services and many more.

Superb Innovative Skills Sdn Bhd was invited by the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development to open a booth to showcase and spread out the knowledge on D’Athirah Magic Ruler (DMR) and KREASI. With the opportunity given, we showcase to YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim, Dato’ Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, YB Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy Binti Shukri, and to the public about the advantages of the D’Athirah Magic Ruler’s innovation, the KREASI community profile, and the products produced by the community. Showcase like this hope to help more communities out there in improving their life status.
