International Women’s Day 2024

International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8 every year, honors the achievements of women worldwide and recognizes their struggle to achieve equality. In 2024, International Women’s Day chose the theme “Women Recognized in a Glorious Country” to highlight the role of women in national development. Consequently, this celebration encourages society to appreciate the important role of women in every aspect of life, including family, career, and community.

“Women Recognized in a Glorious Country”

On March 8, 2024, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, and YB Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy Binti Shukri, Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, officiated the International Women’s Day celebration at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre. Consequently, numerous activities took place, such as CEDAW Information sessions, Advocacy Against Social Harassment, Self-Defense Demos, Civil Aspirations Women’s Forum, Talks on Tolerance of Violence Against Women, Exhibitions and Information Sessions with Women’s NGOs, Knowledge Sharing from Successful Women Entrepreneurs, and Financial Advice Services. Overall, the event marked a significant recognition and celebration of women’s contributions.

D’Athirah Magic Ruler (DMR)

The Ministry of Women, Family, and Community Development invited Superb Innovative Skills to open a booth to promote Kreasi and D’Athirah Magic Ruler (DMR). Seizing this opportunity, we showcased the advantages of DMR’s innovative products and the Kreasi community’s profile to YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim, Dato’ Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, YB Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy Binti Shukri, and the public. Consequently, promotions like this aim to help more communities out there.

In conclusion, these events underscore the significant impact of collaborative efforts in recognizing and promoting innovative products and celebrating the vital role of women in national development. By highlighting the achievements and contributions of individuals and communities, we pave the way for a more inclusive and empowered society. Furthermore, such recognition not only motivates continuous innovation but also fosters a culture of appreciation and support for the contributions of women and other underrepresented groups. As we move forward, it is crucial to maintain this momentum and continue to create opportunities that celebrate and elevate the diverse talents and achievements within our society.
