The Australian delegation, along with Malaysian representatives, visited RuangKreasi on Saturday, 29 June 2024, aiming to see and understand the activities and classes conducted there. This visit marked the first step in collaboration discussions between the two parties.

Before the tour began, the RuangKreasi community arrived early to start the Craft Production Day. They began sewing cup holders and pen lanyards using used fabric. The Australian delegation’s presence livened up the atmosphere of Craft Production Day as they observed RuangKreasi’s activities firsthand. Kreasi seized this opportunity to promote products sewn by the RuangKreasi community, including plushie soft toys, handicraft bags, crochet bags, crochet amigurumi, and many more. The Australian delegation also had the chance to be impressed by the innovative product D’Athirah Magic Ruler, which simplifies and saves time drawing sewing patterns.

The tour continued with a traditional Malaysian breakfast of nasi lemak and curry puff, during which we explained the advantages and impact of RuangKreasi’s activities. After breakfast, the Australian delegation and Malaysian representatives interacted with the RuangKreasi community, learning more about their activities and strengthening the interaction between the two parties. Some delegates showed interest in community products like whale plushie soft toys and drawstring bag handicrafts, and they made purchases.

Finally, the visit concluded with a ceremony of taking pictures to capture and keep this beautiful memory, along with the gifting of souvenirs. We hope the meeting between the Australian delegation and RuangKreasi will not end here.
